Paid media

Paid media management that shows you the math.

Google Ads, paid social and streaming TV, run around your actual unit economics. Your ad spend and our fee are always separate line items. You see every dollar.

Search, social and streaming under one strategy, one report, one point of contact.

What does a paid media agency do?

Answer

A paid media agency plans, launches and optimizes ads on platforms like Google, Meta, LinkedIn and streaming TV. The good ones start from your numbers (customer value, affordable cost per lead, close rate), set up conversion tracking that actually works, then manage keywords, audiences, creative and budgets so every channel can be judged on leads and revenue.

Where the money goes

Why most small business ad accounts lose money

Money out, leads in slowly, and nobody can explain why. The campaigns keep running because nobody wants to be the one to pull the plug. It usually comes down to a few things.

  • Bidding on keywords with no buying intent.
  • Sending clicks to pages built for browsing, not converting.
  • Stale creative running for months and broad targeting reaching everyone within driving distance.
  • Broken conversion tracking, so even what works can't be proven.
  • Ad spend bundled into a retainer, so the math is impossible to audit.

Paid media done right is the fastest channel in marketing. Done wrong, it's the most expensive.

Channels

Three channels, one strategy

Each channel does a different job. We plan them together so they reinforce each other instead of competing for the same budget.

  1. Paid search

    Google Ads

Catch people at the moment they search for what you sell. Search, Performance Max, YouTube and Microsoft Ads where it fits.

  2. Paid social

    Social ads

Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and Pinterest, with fresh creative every cycle and tracking that proves results.

  3. Streaming TV

    CTV and streaming ads

TV-quality reach on Hulu, Roku, Amazon Fire TV and YouTube TV, targeted by audience, not by time slot.

How it works

Built backwards from your unit economics

We start with your numbers, not the platform's suggestions.

  1. Audit and unit economics

We review existing campaigns, pull conversion data, and calculate what a lead and a customer can actually cost you.

  2. Fix the tracking first

Google tags, Meta Pixel, Conversions API and server-side tracking where needed. No spending until results can be measured.

  3. Build the campaigns

Keyword groups, negative keywords, audiences, creative and landing page recommendations, mapped to each channel's job.

  4. Launch and tune

Close daily attention while the algorithms learn, then steady bid, budget and creative work.

  5. Report in plain English

Cost per lead, cost per customer, return on ad spend. What's scaling, what's getting cut, and why.

Paid media FAQ

Which paid channel should a small business start with?

Answer

Usually the one closest to purchase intent. If people already search for what you sell, Google Ads tends to come first. If you need to create demand or sell something visual, paid social often fits better. Streaming TV works best once you know who your buyer is. We will tell you on the first call if paid media isn't your best first channel at all.

How much should I spend on ads?

Answer

It depends on your category, competition, customer value and how fast you need results. We work it out from your unit economics on a free call. Our post on what a marketing agency costs walks through the factors.

Why do you bill ad spend separately from your fee?

Answer

So you can see exactly what the platforms take, what we take, and what you get back. When an agency bundles everything into one number, you can't tell whether there's a margin on your ad spend or a budget too small to work.

Do I own my ad accounts?

Answer

Yes. Your Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and other accounts, audiences and data stay yours. If you leave, we hand them back clean.

How do you report results?

Answer

In plain English, built around cost per lead, cost per customer and return on ad spend, with notes on what's working, what we're cutting and what we're testing next.

Is there a long-term contract?

Answer

No. There's a short starting commitment, typically three to six months, so campaigns have time to learn and show real results. After that it's month to month. We would rather earn the next month than lock you into it.
